Silvertone U2 1957
Out of stock
A completely original (except for a screw) vintage Silvertone U2 from 1957 in a beautiful black finish. The 1950s U2s are known as one of the better Silvertones built by Danelectro. Increasingly difficult to find these days!
The serial number and code on the pots date this Silvertone to 1957. The semi-hollow Masonite body is equipped with the famous lipstick single-coil pickups and stacked pots (loose volume and tone per pickup). Furthermore, the maple neck with C-profile plays like butter.
In short; no, it's not an old Les Paul or a vintage Stratocaster, but that's what makes this instrument so much fun! In that respect, the Silvertone is truly a unique and very useful vintage instrument.
The guitar comes with a (slightly too large) non-original vintage case.
