Here we have a Walter Taylor “Lady Banjo” fretless 5-string from circa 1890. Walter helped his father in the saddlery and harness business. Later Walter became “Gunsmith” in Liverpool. A craft that he could later put to good use when making Banjos.
This vintage banjo is in a very nice vintage condition. On the dowlstick we find the text “Taylor Liverpool”. Furthermore, the vintage banjo is finished with beautiful MOP flower inlays on the fingerboard, whole and headstock.
